Youth Ambassador Program

Are you a student looking to get involved in our community, or give back to important organizations like NEO Kids Foundation? Then we are looking for you!

Our Youth Ambassador program is a chance for you to educate your peers about the great benefits of the NEO Kids & Family Program, while raising funds for our tiniest patients in Northeastern Ontario. Over the course of the school year (September to June), our Youth Ambassadors will organize and host fundraisers within their schools.

Here’s what to expect for our Youth Ambassador Program:

1. Host a fundraiser: Work closely with your teachers to create a fundraiser throughout the semester – we will leave this up to you to decide what kind of fundraiser! Here are a few examples: bake sale, buy-out, dance, VIRTUAL game night etc.
2. Educate students and teachers about NEO Kids: NEO Kids Foundation can equip you with the right resources to be able to educate those who are donating, or potentially donating – Incorporate an educational component into your fundraiser. Ex. Trivia about NEO Kids – why it’s important, what do we do, etc.
3. Work with NEO Kids Foundation: We know all high schools operate differently, as a Youth Ambassador you will work closely with the Foundation to determine what works best for you and your school

This program is open to students in Grade 7 to 12 across Northeastern Ontario. Not only does hosting a fundraiser through the Youth Ambassador Program raise vital funds for our NEO Kids, but it also teaches youth necessary skills like accountability, financial responsibility, teamwork, and leadership. We want your students to learn, grow, and succeed in this program!
